ParMed's One Tray System

No Manual Handling

Designed to maximise user efficiency and to minimise manual handling movements, Parmed’s “One Tray System” accommodates the effortless storage and transferring of cadavers within Mortuary, Anatomical and Forensic environments.

The One Tray System was conceived and implemented by Shotton Parmed with the intention of eliminating as much effort as possible with the manual transfer of cadavers across multiple areas, from storage through to the various workstations that maybe required within an array of different applications. Since that time, the concept has been adopted and has been used within a wide variety of institutions across Australia.

Work Smarter

The system itself works upon the body or specimen remaining on the same tray throughout all procedures and the various states of motion required, with transfer to and from storage/autopsy/viewing/embalming stations made simply and quickly using a lifter trolley or other trolley type. In the case of retrieval from the hospital ward being needed, a trolley can be sent up to the ward with an empty tray to facilitate the transfer process to a mortuary.

Principle

The key principle behind the One Tray System is the body tray. This tray is designed, not only to store a body, but also provide a stable work platform for any procedures performed on that same cadaver, including autopsies, dissection and embalming. The tray has features built in that optimises fluid drainage, and also access to the body.

Safety

The One Tray System intention is to eliminate physical effort from the manual lifting and transfers from handling methods, thus helping minimise debilitating injuries from occurring within a workplace and reducing OHS liabilities from those incidents to businesses.
